Nearly three years ago, Christoph Minnameier gifted us with the delightful dungeon-crawler Dungeons of Dreadrock. Drawing inspiration from legendary titles like Dungeon Master and Eye of the Beholder, the game stood out with its top-down perspective and puzzle-driven design across 100 unique dungeon floors. Players navigated treacherous traps and tactical enemy encounters to rescue their brother, resulting in a satisfyingly challenging experience praised in our review. After thriving on multiple platforms, the fan-favorite is getting a sequel: Dungeons of Dreadrock 2 – The Dead King’s Secret.
The crimson backdrop and iconic Switch logo teaser reveal Nintendo’s platform as the sequel’s launch target, with a confirmed eShop release date of November 28th. PC gamers needn’t worry—a Steam version is already wishlist-ready, while mobile releases for iOS and Android are underway. Though exact dates for non-Switch platforms remain undisclosed, the confirmation alone sparks excitement. We’ll share updates as additional launch details emerge.
