Final Fantasy 14 Offers Returning Players Tons of Free Playtime

Final Fantasy XIV's Free Login Campaign Returns!

Square Enix has re-launched its popular Free Login Campaign for Final Fantasy XIV, giving players with inactive accounts a chance to return to Eorzea for a limited time. This campaign runs until February 6th, 2025, offering eligible players four consecutive days of free gameplay on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.

The campaign timer begins upon logging into the game launcher. Eligibility can be verified through the Mog Station; players must have a registered, inactive account (inactive for at least 30 days prior to the campaign start) and not have violated the game's terms of service.

This generous offer follows the release of Patch 7.15, which included new side quests in the Dawntrail expansion, including the continuation of the Hildibrand storyline and a new Custom Delivery client. Producer and director Naoki Yoshida's recent New Year's message confirmed the upcoming release of Patches 7.2 and 7.3 in 2025, along with smaller updates, and hinted at future developments in the Dawntrail main storyline.

The campaign, which began January 9th, 2025, provides a perfect opportunity for lapsed players to catch up on the Dawntrail content before the release of Patch 7.2. While enjoying the free playtime, players can also participate in the Heavensturn event (until January 16th) and anticipate the arrival of Patch 7.16 on January 21st, concluding the Dawntrail Role Quest series. Square Enix encourages players to check their eligibility on the Mog Station.
