THQ Nordic and Alkimia Interactive have released a new trailer for the Gothic 1 Remake, coinciding with the launch of the "Nyras Prologue" demo.
Unlike the original Gothic, which featured the Nameless Hero, the remake lets players experience the story through the eyes of a prisoner named Nyras. Despite the protagonist change, Nyras's objective remains the same: survival in the unforgiving game world.
Released during the Steam Next Fest, the demo has already broken concurrent player records for the entire Gothic franchise:

The demo showcases the enhanced visuals, animations, and Unreal Engine 5-powered combat system. While the prologue doesn't fully represent the expansive gameplay and RPG depth of the complete game, it offers a compelling glimpse into what's to come.
The Gothic Remake is slated for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam, GOG). A specific release date is yet to be announced.
