Street cricket game Gully Gangs launches open beta on Android

Playing cricket in narrow alleyways delivers more excitement than traditional fields - at least in India. Independent developer 5th Ocean Studios has launched their innovative cricket game Gully Gangs: Street Cricket in Open Beta for Android.

Not Your Typical Cricket Simulator

Gully Gangs: Street Cricket offers unique 4v4 multiplayer matches set in authentic Indian gullies (narrow urban alleys). This groundbreaking street cricket experience features rooftop catches, obstructing scooters, and neighborhood uncles shouting about broken windows. The game also includes 1v1 options for alternative playstyles.

Authentic Street Cricket Experience

The game captures true Indian neighborhood vibes with live background activity. Players utilize broken stumps, improvised pitches, and unpredictable wall bounces. Powerful special moves combine with full voice chat functionality - enabling real-time banter, emotes, and occasional mischief among players.

Extensive customization allows building personalized teams with unique outfits and unlockable skins. Future updates promise additional street maps, cosmetic items, competitive events, clan battles, and potential esports integration.

Current Availability and Future Plans

Currently available via Google Play Store's Open Beta program, 5th Ocean Studios plans iOS and Steam releases with cross-platform play and controller support forthcoming. The developer roadmap includes competitive leaderboards, daily/weekly challenges, and ranked gang matchups.
