Hangry Morpeko Is Coming To Pokémon GO This Halloween!

Pokémon GO's Halloween event is launching soon, and Niantic has revealed the details for Part 1 (with a Part 2 to follow!). Get ready for exciting features and spooky Pokémon encounters.

The event runs from Tuesday, October 22nd, at 10:00 a.m. local time, until Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.

What's New?

Morpeko makes its Pokémon GO debut! This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon introduces unique battle mechanics, especially useful against Team GO Rocket or in GO Battle League. Its ability to switch between Full Belly Mode and Hangry Mode mid-battle, altering its Aura Wheel attack (100 power, Attack boost in both modes), is a thrilling addition.

During the event, Morpeko will have increased encounter rates in the GO Battle League's premium track, remaining available from Rank 16 onwards (though more frequent in premium battles).

A Spooky Celebration!

Pokémon GO is decked out in special Halloween decorations. Fans of the Lavender Town theme will enjoy a remix of the classic music playing nightly throughout the event.

Dynamax Gastly appears in one-star Max Battles, alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.

A free Timed Research event, focusing on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits, runs from October 22nd to November 3rd. Complete the tasks for encounters with Halloween-themed Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
