The Esports World Cup 2025 is set to be a landmark event for mobile esports, with PUBG Mobile, Free Fire, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang already confirmed. This summer's showdown in Riyadh promises top-tier talent and substantial prize pools. Adding to the excitement, Honor of Kings is making a grand return as part of a three-year partnership with the EWC.
The Honor of Kings World Cup is back with a $3 million prize pool and an expanded format. The tournament will feature 18 teams from around the world, including powerhouses from the King Pro League and Asian Champions League. The competition will kick off on July 15th and run through to the 26th. The event begins with a Group Stage where 16 teams are divided into four double-elimination brackets. The top team from each group advances directly to the Playoffs, while second-place teams compete in a Last Chance bracket for the remaining two spots.
Matches during the Group Stage and Last Chance bracket will be played in best-of-three and best-of-five formats, leading up to the Playoffs where the KPL and ACL champions await. The final stage, scheduled for August 16th, will feature a best-of-seven format, with a third-place match also on the agenda.
