If you're a fan of Japanese music, you're likely familiar with HYDE, the iconic artist who has graced Madison Square Garden and sold over 40 million records. Now, HYDE takes center stage in a thrilling new endless runner game, "Hyde Run," which has just launched globally today. Initially released in Japan, this game is now accessible to fans around the world, allowing them to immerse themselves in HYDE's musical journey through a game rich with references to his illustrious career.
Move, Jump or Slide in Hyde Run
In "Hyde Run," you'll experience the thrill of parkour as you navigate through a concert stage and a futuristic Tokyo simultaneously. Playing as HYDE, you'll engage in a high-speed chase across Neo Tokyo, dodging obstacles, wall-running past vibrant billboards, and collecting musical notes. The game's atmosphere is distinctly more neon-and-noise than your average endless runner, infused with the energy of guitar solos and HYDE-specific fan service.
As you dash through the city, you can grab various power-ups, including magnets that attract notes to you and barriers that shield you from damage. Before each run, you can activate items like Note Gain to increase your note collection or a Barrier to avoid tripping over obstacles. Additionally, you can collect crystals to unlock exclusive outfits and room items from HYDE's career, and even access voice clips by unlocking the Microphone Stand.
There’s More Stuff in the Game to Do
Beyond the endless run, "Hyde Run" offers the chance to customize HYDE's room with memorabilia spanning 20 years, from old tour gear to more obscure references. Hidden items throughout the game unlock additional messages and voice notes from HYDE, adding depth to your gaming experience.
Currently, there's a range of limited-time content available until June 10th, 2025. This includes the THE LAST ROCKSTARS Costume Set, featuring HYDE in his iconic music video look, complete with matching ROCK Furniture such as leopard prints, vintage trunks, and stage spotlights. For a more relaxed vibe, the Bat Jinbei Costume Set offers a summer-festival feel, while the Japanese-style furniture set includes bamboo, bonboris, and a wind chime resembling HYDE's Edyh character.
You can download "Hyde Run" from the Google Play Store and dive into this unique blend of music and gaming. Don't forget to check out our next news on the story-driven anthropomorphic adventure, "Duck Detective: The Secret Salami."
