Elden Ring movie director Alex Garland is reportedly considering reuniting with Warfare star Kit Connor for A24 and Bandai Namco's adaptation of the acclaimed 2022 RPG.

Industry outlet Deadline broke the potential casting news, indicating Garland wants Connor involved in the Elden Ring film project. Variety confirmed the discussions but noted no official offer has been extended yet.

Connor recently collaborated with Garland on the intense war drama Warfare, portraying a U.S. Navy SEAL fighting for survival during an ambush in Iraq.

The rising star's notable credits include Netflix's Heartstopper, HBO's His Dark Materials, and the Elton John biopic Rocketman. He's also lent his voice to video games including A Plague Tale: Requiem and Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

The specific role Connor might play remains uncertain, as producers have yet to reveal plot details for the adaptation of Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R.R. Martin's dark fantasy world.

Studio announcements last week confirmed Garland will direct and write the screenplay, marking his first major video game adaptation following acclaimed films like Ex Machina and Civil War.

Martin will serve as producer alongside DNA executives Peter Rice, Andrew Macdonald, and Allon Reich, continuing his involvement with the Lands Between universe.

The project remains in early development with no confirmed release window. Fans eager for casting updates can revisit community reactions to the original movie announcement.
