No Man's Sky: Your Guide to Finding, Farming, and Crafting Solanium
Solanium, a crucial resource in No Man's Sky, is exclusively found on planets with specific climates. This guide covers gathering, farming, and crafting methods to ensure you always have a supply.
Locating Solanium:
To find Solanium, target planets with hot and arid climates. Use your starship scanner to identify planets described as Arid, Incandescent, Boiling, or Scorched. These planets will list Solanium as a resource. Upon landing, employ your Analysis Visor to locate Solar Vines – tall, rock-like structures with glowing vines. Harvesting requires a Haz-Mat Gauntlet. Phosphorus deposits, also found on these planets, are useful for crafting Solanium.
Farming Solanium:
Once you've progressed the Farmer's Agricultural Research mission, you can cultivate Solar Vines at your base. Use a Hydroponic Tray or Bio-Dome, planting them with 50 Solanium and 50 Phosphorus. Hot planets allow direct ground planting. Allow approximately 16 real-time hours for growth.
Crafting Solanium:
The Refiner offers several Solanium crafting recipes, most needing Phosphorus (obtainable from hot planets or Galactic Trade Terminals). Here's a list:
- Solanium + Phosphorus (creates more Solanium)
- Phosphorus + Oxygen
- Phosphorus + Sulphurine
- Di-hydrogen + Sulphurine
Note: All recipes, even those using Sulphurine, necessitate a visit to a hot planet. Establishing a Phosphorus farm at your base ensures a consistent Sulphurine supply.
