Marvel Rivals Season 1 Mid-Season Update: No Rank Reset!
A recent announcement from NetEase Games has clarified the situation regarding a potential rank reset in Marvel Rivals Season 1. Initially, a mid-season reset was planned for February 21, 2025, coinciding with the release of The Thing and Human Torch. However, due to significant player feedback expressing concerns about the frequency of resets, NetEase has reversed course.
The Marvel Rivals team stated in a blog post that there will be no rank reset at the start of the second half of Season 1. Players will retain their existing ranks and scores. To earn new rewards, including a Gold rank costume and various Crests of Honor, players only need to complete 10 competitive matches and meet specific conditions by the season's end.
This decision demonstrates NetEase's responsiveness to player feedback and commitment to improving the competitive experience. It provides high-ranking players with an extended period to compete at the top level.
Season 1 Mid-Season Update Content:
Beyond the cancellation of the rank reset, the mid-season update introduces The Thing and Human Torch as playable characters. While specific balance adjustments (buffs and nerfs) haven't been detailed yet, this update is sure to significantly impact the game's meta.
