"Morikomori Life: New Social, Rural Sim with Ghibli Art"

Morikomori Life has officially launched on Android and iOS, but currently, it's only available in Japan. This charming rural farm life simulation game is being published by Realfun Studio. Interestingly, it was initially released in China by Level Infinite under Tencent Games, though the Chinese version was discontinued about a year ago.

The Rural Farm Life Sim Is Back

One of the standout features of Morikomori Life is its stunning visuals. The developers have masterfully captured the essence of a cozy, rural life through anime-inspired, specifically Ghibli-style art. These scenes are reminiscent of a Studio Ghibli animated movie, offering a genuine and nostalgic feel rather than the generic AI-generated art we see today.

In the game, you step into the shoes of Kaon, a young Japanese girl who receives a mysterious letter from her grandmother, prompting her to return to her childhood village, Komori. The journey back to Komori is not just a trip through space but a rediscovery of what it means to live a peaceful, slow-paced life. The 3D toon shading used in the game beautifully enhances the warmth and authenticity of the Japanese countryside.

Don't just take my word for it—check out the Morikomori Life trailers below to see the captivating visuals for yourself!

Morikomori Life Lets You Experience Slow-Paced Living

Morikomori Life is all about embracing the joys of a slow-paced, slice-of-life experience. Engage in activities like farming, cooking, fishing, hunting, and even constructing your own home. You can gather resources by chopping wood, mining ore, and exploring to find rare materials.

As you accumulate resources, you'll unlock opportunities to upgrade your house and enhance your lifestyle. Customize Kaon's appearance to match your personal style, meet new friends in the village, prepare meals from foraged ingredients, and assist villagers with various tasks.

The game also offers an open-world experience, allowing you the freedom to explore and discover delightful surprises scattered throughout the environment.

Currently, Morikomori Life is available on Android in Japan. If you're in the region, you can download it from the Google Play Store. There's no confirmation yet on whether a global release is on the horizon.
