Pokémon Go Concludes Might and Mastery Season with Global Challenge

Authore: RileyUpdate:May 20,2025

The Might and Mastery season in Pokémon Go is building up to an exciting finale, with Niantic emphasizing the power of teamwork. From Tuesday, May 20th to Thursday, May 22nd, the Strength in Numbers Global Challenge encourages you to send as many Gifts as possible to your friends.

During this challenge period, you can open up to 50 Gifts each day, increasing your chances of earning Stardust, items, and friendship boosts. More importantly, your efforts contribute to a global goal: unlocking giftable Special Research tickets for the upcoming Community Day Classic: Machop.

If the community successfully completes the challenge by May 22nd, starting on May 23rd, you'll be able to send these Machop Special Research tickets to any friend who has reached Great Friends status with you. You can gift these tickets even if you haven't purchased one for yourself. Just navigate to the in-game shop and share the Fighting-type excitement. Each trainer can gift up to 20 tickets per day, so feel free to be generous.

This leads directly into the Machop event on May 24th, from 2 to 5 pm local time. During this period, the Superpower Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild, and Shiny Machop will be available once again. It's the perfect opportunity for those who missed the first event or want to add more Shiny Machamp to their collection.

Don't miss out on evolving Machoke into Machamp up until May 31st to teach it Payback, a Dark-type Charged Attack that can enhance its performance in specific battles. With Stardust bonuses, three-hour Incense and Lures, and limited-time Timed Research offering a themed Machop encounter with increased Shiny odds, there's plenty to explore.

Prepare for this event by downloading Pokémon Go for free and visiting the Pokémon Go Web Store to stock up on essentials in advance.
