Bluepoch Games recently hosted a special anniversary livestream for Reverse: 1999, unveiling details about the upcoming Version 2.8 update, titled Paradise Regained. This major content drop, celebrating the game’s second anniversary, introduces beautifully animated Live2D chibi models for new playable units.
Events Running Through Late September and October
Paradise Regained will expand the roster with four new 6-star characters. Headlining the Anniversary Limited Banner, "The Myth at Her Fingertips," is Nautika, who is available in two distinct forms—each with a unique set of skills.
Players can also obtain Urich for free simply by logging in during the anniversary. Originally introduced in Version 1.9, Urich leads the Laplace cryptography team and appears as awakened ferrofluid contained within a glass tank.
Phase 2 brings Moldir, a lieutenant from the Former Zeno Sentinel Unit. As a soldier conflicted between duty and personal emotions, she faces enemy ships on the horizon. Check out the preview for more insights.

Additionally, two free 5-star characters are joining the lineup. Matilda will be distributed via daily login rewards during Version 2.8, while Buddy Fairchild, a helpful squirrel companion, can be earned through the Against the Flood event.
Abundant Anniversary Rewards in Paradise Regained
All players will receive 30 free pulls, and newcomers can accumulate up to 100 pulls plus a selector ticket for a 6-star character. A free 6-star portrait from the standard banner is also available, along with a selectable 6-star character through the Timely Reinforcements event from Version 2.7.
Several new gameplay modes are making their debut. Pre-Storm Protocol, running from September 19th to October 30th, 2025, challenges players to gather resources, fight off enemies, and avoid Storm Syndrome contamination in an exploration-survival format.
