This guide details how to locate Rosa's book in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, a crucial item for a side quest that can easily be missed. Failure to retrieve the book prevents quest completion and potentially romance options.
Prerequisites: Complete the “Via Argentum” quest and begin “Taking French Leave.” After assisting the Ruthard family with Vavak, speak with Rosa. She'll mention a secret passage to Maleshov and request a book. Accept her request to initiate “Rosa’s Book.”
This quest is time-sensitive; leaving Maleshov with Hans without the book results in failure.
Finding the Book:
Upon entering Maleshov, navigate to the largest tower where Hans is located. Use the side stairs to access the interior. Inside, locate a small kitchen. Wait for the guards patrolling upstairs to clear the area.
Sneak upstairs and find a room with Lady Ofka. Knock her out and collect the keys from her, the podium, and a sword from the chest. Rosa's book is a red volume in a window alcove to the right of the fireplace. Take it; your objective updates.
Additional Tip: Grab a sword from the chest in the adjacent room. This prepares you for Hans and his unexpected guest.
Proceed to the top floor, unlock the left door, and trigger a cutscene. Complete the remaining steps of “Taking French Leave,” then return to Kuttenberg City and deliver Rosa’s book to her at Ruthard Palace.
