Authore: HenryUpdate:Jun 27,2025

Sony has officially announced a State of Play showcase scheduled for tomorrow, June 4.

In a recent PlayStation Blog post, Tim Turi, Content Communications Manager at Sony Interactive Entertainment, revealed that the broadcast will feature “news and updates on must-play games coming to PS5.” He added, “The show highlights a selection of great games from creators across the globe.”

The presentation is set to run for over 40 minutes and will begin on June 4 at 2:00 PM PT / 5:00 PM ET / 11:00 PM CEST.

While details remain sparse, there’s plenty of speculation about what's in store. It’s highly likely that Sucker Punch’s upcoming PS5 exclusive sequel, Ghost of Yotei, set to launch this October, will make an appearance.

Could we also get a glimpse of Insomniac’s mysterious Wolverine game? Additionally, fans are eager to see what’s next from other major Sony studios—such as Santa Monica Studio (God of War), Bend Studio (Days Gone), and Guerrilla Games (Horizon)—who are currently developing a multiplayer spin-off of their popular franchise.

Bungie, now under the Sony umbrella, continues work on its ambitious new title, Marathon. However, it remains uncertain how much of the game will be shown in light of the studio’s recent controversies.

Meanwhile, Fairgames—formerly led by Jade Raymond—remains in development, and last month, Sony unveiled its newest internal studio, teamLFG, which is reportedly working on a live service project.

Additionally, titles from third-party developers signed by Sony, such as Phantom Blade Zero, could also make an appearance during the broadcast.
