Marvel's Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, the Disney+ animated series chronicling Peter Parker's freshman year, has received a significant early commitment: seasons two and three are already in the works!
Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' head of streaming, television, and animation, recently revealed that Season 2 boasts completed scripts and half-finished animatics, even before Season 1 premieres on January 29th. The greenlight for Season 3 has also been given.
Winderbaum expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "I've fallen head over heels for these characters. I've read all the scripts for Season 2; we're halfway through the animatics. What Jeff Trammell [lead writer and executive producer] is building brick by brick really starts to pay off." He further emphasized the show's growing emotional depth, promising that this connection will only deepen across subsequent seasons.

While Winderbaum confirmed upcoming meetings with Trammell to discuss Season 3's pitch, he remained tight-lipped regarding release dates for both Season 2 and 3.
The series follows Peter Parker's high school adventures as he develops his superpowers. Whether the subsequent seasons will chronologically follow Peter's sophomore and junior years, or explore alternative storylines within his freshman year, remains to be seen.
