HoYoverse's Tears of Themis unveils its latest update: "Ballad of the Dunes," a captivating collaboration with Gansu Province's Culture & Tourism. This crossover event seamlessly blends the game's signature detective work with the rich cultural heritage of Dunhuang, a historic city bordering the Gobi Desert.

Ballad of the Dunes: A Journey Through Time

This event immerses players in a world of history, romance, and mystery, evoking the atmosphere of the ancient Silk Road. Key additions include:

Four New MR Cards: Luke, Artem, Vyn, and Marius each receive a new MR card, each inspired by distinct aspects of Dunhuang's culture, featuring elements like flying apsaras, intricate murals, and the pipa. The artistic style mirrors the ancient performers depicted in the Mogao Caves.
Unique Card Stories: Each card boasts a unique narrative: Luke's "In the Footsteps of Silk," Artem's "Serenade of the Soul," Vyn's "Reverberation Through Time," and Marius's "Void of Creation." Private Messages further enrich the experience, offering a deeper dive into this thousand-year-old journey.

From February 13th to 20th, 2025, players can earn Camel Bells, S-Chips, and other rewards by completing event tasks. The core challenge involves a cell-flipping game board mechanic to uncover prizes. The ultimate reward is the choice of one of the four new Ballad of the Dunes MR cards per round. Flipping 100 cells unlocks the exclusive "Celebration – Dunes" Namecard.
