Great news for fans of the Uma Musume Pretty Derby anime! Cygames has officially confirmed an English version of its popular horse girl racing simulation game. A Japanese version already boasts excellent reviews.
What's New?
Cygames has launched official English-language resources: a website, YouTube channel, and X (formerly Twitter) account. Stay updated on the global version's progress through these channels.
For newcomers, Uma Musume Pretty Derby is part of a larger multimedia franchise including anime, manga, and more. The game's popularity stems largely from the success of the anime series.
Initially released in Japan and Asia in February 2021 for Android and iOS, the game features horse girls—racehorses reincarnated as girls—competing in the "Twinkle Series," a national sports entertainment show, while striving for idol status.
While the game hasn't had a global release until now, characters like Gold Ship (Team Spica) have appeared in global titles such as Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising. Expect more crossovers once the English version launches.
When's the English Version Arriving?
The exact release date remains unannounced, but we know it will be free-to-play on Android and iOS. Check the official website for updates. In the meantime, enjoy the official trailer below!
A playable demo of the English version will be available at Anime Expo 2024 (Los Angeles Convention Center, July 4th-7th).
