Civ VI Android update adds all units, maps

Sid Meier's Civilization VI for Android is receiving its most significant update to date, finally bringing parity with other platforms. On June 12th, Android players will gain access to all previously exclusive content, including complete unit sets, balancing improvements, and gameplay refinements.

New Units, Maps, Modes and Comprehensive Enhancements

Aspyr's substantial update delivers the definitive Civilization VI experience to mobile gamers. Three strategic military units join the roster: The medieval Trebuchet (upgrading from Catapults), the Man-At-Arms (evolving from Swordsmen), and Industrial-era Line Infantry units bridging the gap to modern forces.

The expansion introduces two meticulously crafted maps: the sprawling Mediterranean Large Map and the global-scale Earth Huge Map. Each features realistic geographical distributions with optional historical starting locations for authentic gameplay.

Innovative game modes transform traditional Civ VI mechanics. The Tech and Civic Shuffle Mode randomly reorganizes advancement trees within eras, while Barbarian Clans Mode replaces standard tribes with seven distinct nomadic groups that can mature into city-states.

New customization tools include Natural Wonder and City-State Pickers for tailored gameplay, plus a Leader Selection Pool featuring Julius Caesar and other curated historical figures.

Complete DLC Collection Arrives on Android

The June 12th update unlocks premium expansion content previously unavailable on mobile. The $29.99 New Frontier Pass delivers eight civilizations, nine leaders and six game modes, while the $19.99 Leader Pass introduces twelve new leaders and six alternate versions of existing ones.

These comprehensive updates cement Civilization VI Android as a fully-featured strategy experience. The complete package is now available through the Google Play Store.
