As the Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO draws to a close, the final week, dubbed Final Strike: GO Battle Week, is set to commence on May 21st, 2025, and will run through to May 27th. This week promises to bring your Kubfu's journey to a thrilling conclusion, offering you the chance to evolve it into the legendary Urshifu in two distinct forms.
What’s in Store during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week?
After weeks of dedicated effort, it's time to evolve your steadfast Kubfu into the formidable Urshifu. You have the opportunity to unlock either the Single Strike or Rapid Strike style, depending on your battle choices. To achieve the Single Strike style, ensure Kubfu is your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike style, follow the same process but target 30 Water-type Pokémon during the Final Strike: GO Battle Week.
Additionally, a Special Research storyline will continue the seasonal narrative. Available until June 3rd, 2025, it offers rewards such as Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon like Charcadet, complete with a special background.
May 25th Is a Special Day
Mark your calendars for May 25th, as it's the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. Gigantamax Machamp will make its debut in six-star Max Battles from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. During this event, you'll enjoy several bonuses, including the need to travel only one-fourth the usual distance to earn Max Particles. The storage cap for Max Particles will increase to 1,600, and all Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles. You'll also receive 8× Max Particles from these spots and be able to perform two extra Special Trades.
Don't miss out on collecting Max Mushrooms, which temporarily double the damage of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can use multiple mushrooms to extend the timer, though the power boost remains consistent.
