A Christmas miracle has arrived for long-time fans of Team Fortress 2! Valve has unexpectedly released a new comic for the popular team-based shooter. The announcement appeared on the official game website.
Entitled "The Days Have Worn Away," this is the seventh numbered comic and the 29th overall, including special event and themed releases. The release marks a significant event, as it's been seven years since the last TF2 comic in 2017.
Valve playfully acknowledged the extended wait, likening the comic's creation to the building of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. They quipped that unlike the Tower's builders, TF2 players only had to wait a "mere" seven years.

The new comic provides a satisfying conclusion to the ongoing storyline. Further installments seem unlikely, as hinted by Erik Wolpaw's tweet on X mentioning "the very last meeting for the Team Fortress 2 comic." While the story concludes, players can still enjoy a festive Christmas treat.
