New for 2024, Snap Recap compiles your year's Snaps into a highlight reel. Instead of statistics, it features a randomly selected Snap from each month, offering a nostalgic look back at your 2024 experiences. The Recap seamlessly transitions into your Memories, allowing you to explore past events.

How to Access Your 2024 Snap Recap

Your 2024 Snap Recap is automatically generated. To view it:

On the main camera screen, swipe up to access Memories (don't press the shutter button).
Locate your 2024 Snap Recap—it's usually prominently displayed.

Tap the Recap (avoiding the share icon) to start the slideshow. You can tap the screen to advance through the monthly Snaps. Save, edit, or share your Recap like any other Snap, including posting it to your Story.

Why Don't I Have a Snap Recap?

If your Snap Recap isn't showing up, it might be due to a staggered rollout. Snapchat also indicates that the feature's availability depends on factors such as the number of saved Snaps. Infrequent Snapchat use may prevent a Recap from being generated. Unfortunately, you can't request one if it's not automatically created.
