War Thunder Mobile Aircraft Open Beta Launches, Unveiling Exciting New Features!

War Thunder Mobile's open beta for air battles has officially launched, bringing intense aerial combat to mobile devices. Gaijin Entertainment's latest update introduces over 100 aircraft from three nations, significantly expanding the game's aerial warfare capabilities.

While aircraft were previously featured in naval and ground support roles, this open beta introduces a full-fledged air tech tree and a dedicated air combat mode. The initial lineup includes iconic planes from the USA, Germany, and the USSR, such as the P-51 Mustang, Messerschmitt Bf 109, and La-5, with more nations promised in future updates.

Players can choose to focus on a single nation's tech tree or diversify their progress across multiple nations. High-ranking aircraft can be acquired through blueprints earned by participating in in-game events, with the first event scheduled for early October. The open beta also unlocks a new Aviation campaign, allowing players to manage their aircraft hangar, research tech trees, and upgrade their crews.

Squadrons of up to four aircraft can be formed, with customization options for aircraft armaments and modifications. The aircraft hangar serves as a central hub for managing vehicles, selecting camouflage, reviewing the tech tree, and inviting friends to squads. Aircraft slots allow for swapping vehicles, modifying armaments, or upgrading assigned crews, enabling diverse squadron compositions regardless of class, nation, or rank.

This substantial update offers a wealth of new content. Download War Thunder Mobile from the Google Play Store to participate in the aircraft open beta. For fans of turn-based strategy, check out our review of Athena Crisis, a new strategy game.
