Warframe, the popular multiplayer action RPG from Digital Extremes, arrived on iOS in February 2024. Now, over a year later, the game has opened pre-registration for Android, with its first closed beta on the platform launching soon.
Warframe Android Closed Beta Details
Digital Extremes announced the closed beta during Day 2 of TennoCon 2025, with a planned rollout in Fall 2025. Invitations will be sent to the email linked to your Warframe account, similar to the iOS beta process.
Make sure you have a Warframe account to participate. You can visit the official website to create an account or pre-register for the game.
Participants in the closed beta will enjoy the complete Warframe experience. The beta includes controller support for many devices, compatible with Bluetooth gamepads like the DualSense and Xbox Wireless Controller, as well as USB options such as the Razer Kishi and Backbone.
There are some limitations, however. The test will not feature cross-platform play or voice chat. Additionally, the Android closed beta will not include any monetization features, unlike the main game.
Please note that all player progress will be reset once the beta concludes. No progress or items earned during the test will carry over to the official mobile launch.
Looking Forward to Warframe on Android?
First announced for mobile in 2021, Warframe is a free-to-play third-person shooter featuring 5 major expansions and over 30 story-driven quests. Players can unlock more than 57 distinct Warframes and explore a vast in-game universe.
You can pre-register now on the Google Play Store. Pre-registering rewards you with the Cumulus Collection, which will be available upon logging in after the official Android release.
