The Last Knight adds depth to the Rinascita area, offering a different perspective than the main storyline. While less expansive than major quests, it provides valuable rewards and a unique narrative.

Starting the Quest

This quest unlocks after completing Chapter 2 of the main storyline ("What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing"). It's recommended to finish Chapter 2, Act 3 before exploring Rinascita, as many side quests are locked until then. Locate Cosimo in Egla Town, Whisperwind Haven. He's near the first house by the main road, marked by a blue quest marker.

The Night Reveries

This involves a performance honoring a legendary knight. You must defeat the Mad Knight, who only appears at night (18:00 to 06:00). Find him at the town's central pool. He's not a particularly difficult opponent.

Mimic Chests Challenge

After defeating the Mad Knight, travel to the tallest tower and then to Carlow's location (marked on your map). He's unconscious near a large purple flower. Interacting with the flower transports you to an area with chests. Three initial chests are genuine; in the next set, only the second chest (middle-left) is real – the others are mimics. Open the correct chest for Astrites and other rewards, then fight off the attacking mimics.

Following the Knight's Trail

Next, visit two locations associated with the legendary knight, following quest markers and interacting with NPCs.

After speaking with Mr. Millkeeper, follow the scent to a unique Chop Chop enemy with invulnerable Leftless and Rightless. Using a Questless Knight Echo (in your main Echo slot) is recommended to parry and stun it.

Finding Carlow

Return to Egla Town during the day and find Carlow in a town plaza. He'll be confronted by knights. Carlow's reaction and subsequent actions conclude the quest. You'll receive Union XP, Astrites, and resources. "The Last Knight" will then be marked as complete.
