Bob Gale, the screenwriter behind the iconic *Back to the Future* trilogy, has firmly put to rest any speculation about further additions to the beloved franchise. Despite ongoing rumors fueled by the success of *Cobra Kai*, a revival of *The Karate Kid*, Gale remains steadfast in his stance against any *Back to the Future* sequels, prequels, or spinoffs.

In a candid interview with People, Gale expressed frustration over the persistent questions about the franchise's future. "I don't know why they keep talking about that!" he exclaimed. "I mean, do they think that if they say it enough times, we're going to actually do it?" His responses to inquiries about a *Back to the Future 4*, a prequel, or a spinoff were unequivocal: "Never."

Gale emphasized the trilogy's completeness, quoting director Robert Zemeckis, "It's perfect enough." While acknowledging that Hollywood could theoretically override their wishes, he humorously suggested that only extreme circumstances—like threats to their families—would sway them. Moreover, executive producer Steven Spielberg, a key figure in the franchise, would need to approve any new project, and according to Gale, Spielberg respects their decision to leave the series untouched.

Gale's firm position was further highlighted in a February statement where he bluntly told fans hoping for a *Back to the Future 4*, "People always say, ‘When are you going to do Back to the Future 4?' And we say, ‘F\*\*k you.' "

Despite the might of Hollywood, Gale's comments and Spielberg's support suggest that the *Back to the Future* trilogy will remain as it is, a testament to its enduring legacy. The original film, released in 1985, follows high school student Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) who, with the help of the eccentric scientist Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd), accidentally travels back in time. This groundbreaking sci-fi adventure has since become one of the most iconic films in the genre, spawning two sequels that further cemented its place in cinematic history.
