Fortnite Partners with Anime for Exclusive Collaboration

Fortnite Rumored to Crossover with Popular Anime Kaiju No. 8

Recent leaks suggest a potential crossover between the hugely popular battle royale game, Fortnite, and the anime sensation, Kaiju No. 8. Given Kaiju No. 8's current global popularity, such a collaboration seems plausible. Adding to the excitement, rumors also point towards a possible Demon Slayer crossover.

The anticipation is further fueled by the upcoming arrival of Godzilla in Fortnite on January 17th. This iconic monster will be obtainable via the Chapter 6 Season 1 battle pass, not the Item Shop.

Following Fortnite's Winterfest event and the first major 2025 update, which introduced new cosmetics and gameplay changes (including instrument back blings and pickaxes, and expanded instrument usage across game modes), numerous rumors about future features and crossovers have emerged.

Prominent Fortnite leaker HYPEX tweeted about a potential Kaiju No. 8 collaboration. For the uninitiated, Kaiju No. 8 follows Kafka Hibino, a young man who gains kaiju-transforming abilities after an unusual encounter. The series, initially a manga, received an anime adaptation in 2024, with a second season slated for 2025. A Kaiju No. 8 crossover would place it alongside other popular anime franchises like Dragon Ball Z in Fortnite.

More Crossovers on the Horizon?

Beyond Kaiju No. 8, multiple leaks hint at a Demon Slayer crossover for Fortnite. While details remain scarce, many fans anticipate new cosmetics in the Item Shop, and some even hope for map-based character representations from both anime.

Further leaks suggest the addition of more MonsterVerse characters beyond Godzilla, potentially including King Kong and Mechagodzilla.

With a plethora of new content on the way, the Fortnite community eagerly awaits Epic Games' plans for the remainder of 2025.
