People Can Fly, the studio behind Bulletstorm and co-developer of Gears of War: E-Day, has partnered with Sony Interactive Entertainment on a new game, codenamed Project Delta. According to People Can Fly's report, Project Delta is a work-for-hire title, though specifics remain undisclosed.
This latest collaboration adds to People Can Fly's already extensive portfolio. The studio is concurrently developing several projects with similar codenames, including Project Gemini with Square Enix (which experienced layoffs last year), Project Echo with Krafton, Project Red (also seemingly with Sony), and the recently announced final VR project, Project Bison.
In recent developments, the studio suspended work on Project Victoria and scaled back Project Bifrost. Furthermore, Project Dagger, an action-adventure title in partnership with Take-Two Interactive, was cancelled earlier this year.
Despite these adjustments, People Can Fly currently has eight known projects underway, including the upcoming Gears of War: E-Day with The Coalition. While a release date for Gears of War: E-Day is yet to be announced, Project Gemini, the Square Enix collaboration, is currently slated for a 2026 release.
