Leslie Benzies, the mastermind behind Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption, unveils his latest creation, MindsEye, in a captivating PlayStation State of Play showcase.
The newly released trailer offers a glimpse into this cutting-edge spy thriller, echoing familiar elements from Benzies' previous work. Expect thrilling third-person gunfights, stunning cinematic sequences, and intense drive-by shootouts. Witness the action firsthand in the cinematic trailer below.
MindsEye follows Jacob Diaz, a protagonist burdened by a neural implant – the MindsEye – that fragments his memories, leaving him with disjointed flashbacks of his military past. His journey unfolds as he embarks on a mission to uncover the truth, confronting an AI-powered military force determined to obstruct his path.
The game, a AAA action-adventure title, has been in development for several years. Following his departure from Rockstar Games, Benzies established Build a Rocket Boy, collaborating with IO Interactive (Hitman developers) on MindsEye. Previously, we described their accompanying Everywhere platform as a "big-budget Roblox" following a studio visit in 2024.
While the latest trailer doesn't highlight Everywhere, MindsEye promises a thrilling action experience from a gaming legend. Anticipate its release sometime in the summer of 2025.
