After months of radio silence, the Infinity Nikki development team has finally addressed player concerns. Version 1.5's troubled launch left many feeling like they'd received an unfinished product - and now the devs themselves confirm they rushed the update. The consequence? Infinity Nikki's Version 1.6 has officially been postponed.
When Can Players Expect the Update?
Originally slated for June 4th following April 28th's 1.5 release, Version 1.6 will now arrive on June 12th instead. To compensate, the current Bubble Season content gets an extended run. This means events like Chase the Bubbles, Rainbow Album, and Where Are the Gifties? remain active through the new launch date.
The delay also affects in-game stores and premium content. Pear-Pal Selected/Store: Clothing, Heartfelt Gifts, and the Shake Up Bubble Jar! top-up event will stay available throughout the extension. Even planned weekly activities like Starlit Pursuit, initially scheduled for May 20th, have been rescheduled for Version 1.6's launch window.
Developers cited cross-platform performance issues, particularly on PlayStation, as key reasons for the delay. They confirmed ongoing refinement of core gameplay systems while reassuring fans that promised story content – including Threads of Reunion – hasn't been canceled, merely postponed.
Beyond the Delay: Infinity Nikki's Current State
The game's recent technical troubles go beyond simple update delays. Players have reported game-breaking bugs, malfunctioning quests, and unreliable co-op features. As damage control, the team is offering daily compensation: 120 Diamonds and 1 Crystal from June 5th-12th, available through daily login.
While some appreciate the gesture, others view it as a transparent attempt to maintain engagement numbers. Controversy grew when promotional banners for new outfits appeared almost immediately after the apology post, leaving some players questioning priorities.
