Warhorse Studios, the developer, announced this milestone on Twitter, celebrating the sequel's triumph, echoing their earlier celebration upon reaching 1 million sales just one day after launch.

This remarkable achievement underscores the game's popularity. The medieval RPG sequel, released February 4th on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, has seen exceptional player engagement.

Embracer Group, Warhorse Studios' parent company, highlighted the game's strong performance on Steam, boasting over 250,000 peak concurrent players—a significant increase compared to the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance's peak of 96,069 seven years prior. The actual peak concurrent player count is likely even higher, considering console sales, though precise figures from Sony and Microsoft remain unavailable.

Embracer lauded Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's success, praising both player and critical reception, as well as its impressive sales figures. CEO Lars Wingefors attributed the success to the dedication of Warhorse Studios and publisher Deep Silver. He expressed confidence in continued strong revenue generation over the next few years, citing the game's high quality and immersive gameplay. A robust roadmap featuring updates and new content over the next year promises an ongoing engaging experience for players.

The post-launch roadmap includes three expansions planned for 2025. Free updates in the spring will introduce features such as a barber shop with enhanced customization, Hardcore Mode, and Horse Racing. Summer will bring the first paid DLC, "Brushes with Death," focusing on protagonist Henry's assistance to a mysterious artist. Autumn will see the release of "Legacy of the Forge," delving into Henry's adoptive father's past. Finally, winter will bring "Mysteria Ecclesia," a covert mission within the Sedlec Monastery.
