KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global Officially Ends its Run
Another game bites the dust! KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global, developed by Sumzap and published by Nexon (later Sesisoft), officially shut down its servers on January 30th, marking the end of a 3.5-year run. While relatively short compared to the Japanese version's 5-year lifespan, it's a respectable run for an anime-based gacha game, especially considering declining revenue in recent times.
The developers, having transitioned their focus to the Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade gacha game, ensured a fitting send-off. This included continued voiced story updates and a final song release just three weeks prior to closure. A farewell livestream in December even featured Kazuma's voice actor.
The Japanese version thoughtfully archived its entire main story on YouTube, allowing players to revisit the antics of Kazuma and his companions. An offline version also grants access to the story, voice lines, and character collection. Unfortunately, the Global version lacks both an offline mode and a dedicated YouTube archive. However, fans can still access the Japanese YouTube channel for continued enjoyment.
This concludes our coverage of the KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global shutdown. Stay tuned for our next update on the February Community Day in Pokémon Go, featuring Karrablast and Shelmet.
