The Pokémon Company addresses ongoing shortages of its highly anticipated Scarlet and Violet—Prismatic Evolutions expansion, assuring fans that reprints are underway. This marks the first official acknowledgment of the widespread supply issues affecting the January 17th release.
The company's statement, issued in response to considerable fan concern on social media, confirms that reprints are currently in production and will soon reach licensed distributors. While a precise release date for the reprints remains unconfirmed, the Pokémon Company emphasizes its commitment to maximizing production to meet the exceptionally high demand. The statement avoids directly addressing speculation regarding scalping as a contributing factor, simply attributing the shortages to "high demand."
Beyond the reprints, the Pokémon Company also reiterates its plans to release additional Prismatic Evolutions products throughout 2025. These include a Mini Tin and Surprise Box (February 7th), a Booster Bundle and Accessory Pouch Special Collection (March 7th and April 25th, respectively), a Super-Premium Collection (May 16th), and a Premium Figure Collection (September 26th). Players can also acquire Prismatic Evolutions cards in the Pokémon TCG Live mobile game starting January 16th via the Battle Pass.
The Pokémon Company expresses gratitude for fans' patience and assures them that efforts are underway to resolve the supply issues as quickly as possible.
