This sleeker, more ergonomic design boasts a lighter, rounded form factor, eliminating the detachable controllers of its predecessor. While the Windows version is currently available for preorder, a SteamOS variant will launch in May at a lower price point.

IGN's Jacqueline Thomas, after experiencing the Legion Go S at CES 2025, praised its comfortable design: "Despite the large screen, it feels surprisingly comfortable, especially without the extra controls of the original. The smooth, rounded sides and textured grips enhance the handheld experience and likely improve grip."

Thomas also highlighted the impressive display: "The 1200p LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate is stunning. The screen size ensures clear visuals, and its brightness held up well even in the brightly lit CES 2025 demo area."
