Mecha BREAK May Unlock All Starting Mechs Following Player Feedback

Mecha BREAK, the fast-paced multiplayer mech shooter, recently concluded its open beta on Steam, drawing in over 300,000 peak concurrent players. Now ranked as the 5th most wishlisted game on the platform, the title has generated significant buzz. Developer Amazing Seasun, based in China, has been actively reviewing player feedback and is considering key adjustments—particularly around Break Striker (mech) accessibility and module usage in 3v3 and 6v6 competitive modes.

Currently, players begin the game with access to only one Break Striker, with the remaining 11 requiring in-game currency to unlock. Earning enough currency demands considerable time investment through multiplayer matches, which some players found discouraging during the early experience.

In response, the development team is evaluating the option to unlock all mechs from the start, aiming to improve onboarding and enhance gameplay variety. While no final decision has been made, the team acknowledges the importance of balancing player freedom with sustainable progression. Amazing Seasun remains committed to a live service model at launch, viewing it as crucial for long-term growth and ongoing content delivery.
