Partial Refunds for Early Buyers

Mountaintop Studios announced price reductions of 17-25% across weapons and character skins, a move directly addressing player concerns about exorbitant costs. Game director Lee Horn confirmed the price cuts, implemented shortly after release.

The studio acknowledged player feedback, stating, "We’ve heard your concerns and are taking action. Weapon and outfit prices are permanently reduced by 17-25%. Players who purchased items before the price adjustment will receive a 30% SP [in-game currency] refund." This refund is rounded up to the nearest 100 SP.

The price changes, however, do not apply to Starter packs, Sponsorships, or Endorsement upgrades. The studio clarified that these packs remain unchanged, but players who purchased Founder's or Supporter packs and those items will receive the additional SP added to their accounts.

Community reaction is mixed, mirroring the game's currently negative Steam reviews (49% negative at the time of writing). While some players appreciate the price adjustments, many remain critical. One player on Twitter (X) commented, "It's a start, but not enough. Glad they're listening to feedback." Another suggested allowing individual item purchases from bundles.

Conversely, other players voiced disappointment with the timing of the price reduction, arguing it should have been implemented before launch. Concerns were raised about the game's long-term viability in a competitive free-to-play market if this pricing model continues.
