Tarot Cards rank among Phasmophobia's most dangerous Cursed Possessions, but can provide game-changing advantages when used wisely.

Always draw Tarot Cards strategically—preferably near exits or hiding spots. This positioning gives you vital seconds to escape if you pull the deadly Death card.

Each Tarot Card triggers its unique effect immediately upon drawing. The Fool card mimics others before revealing itself as inert. A full deck contains 10 cards—drawing them doesn't affect sanity, though duplicates with identical effects may appear.

The deck contains 10 possible cards with these effects:

The TowerDoubles ghost activity for 20 seconds20%
The Wheel of FortuneThe user gains 25% sanity if the card burns green; loses 25% sanity if the card burns red20%

Understanding Cursed Possessions in Phasmophobia

Cursed Possessions (or "Cursed Objects") are special Phasmophobia items that randomly appear on contract maps, with spawn rates affected by difficulty settings and Challenge Mode.

While standard equipment helps gather ghost evidence safely, Cursed Possessions provide powerful—but risky—ways to influence paranormal activity, dramatically affecting gameplay outcomes.

These high-stakes items vary in danger level. Your team must weigh risks versus potential benefits—there's no penalty for avoidance, but no extra rewards for using them.

Each contract features one Cursed Possession (adjustable in Custom settings), always spawning in predetermined locations—like the Voodoo Doll consistently appearing in 6 Tanglewood Drive's garage.

Seven Cursed Possessions exist in total:

Haunted Mirror, Voodoo Doll, Music Box, Tarot Cards, Ouija Board, Monkey Paw, Summoning Circle
